ANNOUNCEMENT
The Southern Digital Imaging Group has been
dissolved as from 12th May 2008. It was felt and agreed by all members
that the time was right for this to happen. Due to the fact that we were
unable to fill key positions on the committee and that our membership was
falling, this was the time to close. Many , if not all, of the local clubs
now have their own Digital sections and so cater for the same objectives
as SDIG.
It is gratifying to know that SDIG has played a
pioneering and predominant part in providing a forum for those
photographers who, in the early days of the Digital 'scene', wished to
take up Digital Photography and get to grips with Photoshop et al. The
'mantle now falls on local photographic clubs to continue this work.
